I don't know if this may relate to my problem or not, but I got a new computer recently and one of my brothers works with computers, so he offered to upgrade it a bit for me. Basically he just added a hard drive that runs faster so I have more space, and if I put anything on that hard drive it will run faster than normal.

The first time I tried to run Minecraft after he did this, I noticed Mojang had a new launcher. before my brother updated my computer I had the old launcher and it worked just fine, by the way. It started downloading a few things, but it didn't get very far until it crashed down.

I tried it again, it didn't work. I re-downloaded Java Script, didn't work. I tried moving the '.minecraft' folder into the faster hard drive, didn't work. Does anyone have any idea what to do?
