NPC's With Command Blocks?

So, I have another question. I'm again using command blocks to make my first adventure map. The thing I asked myself was, "I have seen other map creators use NPC's and many of their players enjoyed it!" The reality is though, I can't find anyone anywhere who talks about how they made their NPC's move! I've searched and search, and all of them bring up how to not make a NPC move. ALSO! I can't find anything about how you make an NPC out of an armour stand!
Long story short, I want to find out how to make a NPC out of an armour stand and then make that armour stand move and follow my player.
P.S. I still need help with a name for my map... Leave any ideas below!

I think the easiest way would be for You use the custom npcs mod and just tell people you need that mod for it to work. But if you don't want to use a mod I know there's a way to do that, I'll look it up and dm you if I figure it out
