So since I've recently been experimenting with a variety of different styled games, I took a shot at a 2.5D Sidescroller.
So far here's my progression...
Now I only have one question, should I continue this game or not?

It looks like a pretty good game to me. You need to add some interesting features to get the player hooked on. Add a story and make sure you're using a decent engine .
1
It depends. Are you doing it properly or just in Unity? If it's a proper game then congrats, looks awesome. If it's made in Unity, I'd quit now and re-make it in a language like Java.

Making it in the right engine is supremely important.

I completely agree, which is why I'm going between Unity and Unreal. As for making it in Java, I don't know the language very well, and I don't feel like learning it specifically for this game.
Thank you for your opinion on the gameplay, and I never had the intent to give up, just making the decision on if the concept is something people would play.
AnimeFanFTWWow, this looks amazing so far!
The only problem I can see is that the blue thingy goes waaaaaaaay too fast. As for a story, well, you can probably turn it into a game which reveals the story the more you advance.
For example, Journey. A game that tells you next to nothing at the beginning, and basically leaves the player to figure things out himself, and it got multiple Game of the Year Awards.
So I say, of course continue it! Don;t make the mistake of giving up, like I did!
Also, I know how hard it is to make a video game. (Heck, I dropped out a Game Making course in college. xD)

Looks great, you should so continue it.

Alright, that looks very promising. What you need to do, apart from brilliant level design (which is the hard bit, IMO) is to tell a story.
A perfect example of a game that told a story with its gameplay was Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Not a single coherent word was spoken, yet the story was so prominent, brilliant, and touching.
Obviously, in a sidescroller, it is hard to tell a story, but if you make the game about the journey, I see a lot of potential. You could make it about the act of a journey (like Journey did), or about how the light brings hope, or even just get Logan Cunningham to narrate it without referring to a single detail of gameplay, telling the story as you go along by talking about your surroundings, with deep meanings to everything.
TL;DR - Continue with it, I'm confident that it could be a brilliant game.

is there a cooldown with the teleport?

Wow, just wow! My only thought is that the teleport might be OP is certain situations, maybe forcing you to make areas where it is not possible.

Continue, please!

Definitely one of the better games I've seen pop up in the forums.
Keep at it and find a hook to give it. But even then, it's pretty good.

Looks, aweosme. Stick with it, and make it unique with a co op mode where your friend can play as an orange one. I know how hard making a game can be, don't give up!

JamenI looks interesting. But there isn't really a hook.
What do you plan on adding to make people want to play this game? Storyline, challenges, etc.?
