THEME: Fairy Tales / Folk Tales.
For this week's theme, our teams will need to step back in time a little bit, when they were young, a mere toddler. It's their bedtime, and they cannot sleep. They go to their mother, and ask her to read a bedtime story. She laughs, carries her child to their room, and tucks them in. She then pulls out a book, and reads them a story. The child thinks it could be a tale of knights and honor or little animals or dragons. Or something.

Perhaps, rather, their mother reads something she usually doesn't read. She picks out a book of a tale from another side of the world, and the influences the open-mindedness of the child towards how other parts of the world see their stories as.

I cannot stress this enough: [b]Look into your theme. [/b] I merely gave a general area as to where to find folklore to make skins out of, and there's many, MANY different things that could be done. I mean, I could've done an entire THEME ALONE with just one specific kind of folklore (Looking at you, Norse Mythology). Research, research, RESEARCH. Also, whatever sort of thing you choose has to have a story behind it.

Rules:
This "skin war" is a nine-week long battle for glory, power, wealth, my love, and an assortment of cheap prizes. Also, happy sweet 16 to me this September 22nd. All teams get cake, don't worry.

Four teams will compete against eachother, each team member making skins according to a theme that is said every Monday of a week. Think of one of those shows whereas a team of however many people compete against eachother in a body painting contest or something. From there, they'll have until the Sunday afterwards for the teams to post their skins, to which the results and next theme will be announced the next day. The four biggest rules are as followed:

[b]1. Nobody from any of the four teams may show their work in progress skins to anyone but their own teams.[/b]
[b]2. The team must all together post their skins as a batch, or at the same time.[/b]
[b]3. After the skins are posted, [u]they are not to be edited[/u] until that week is over, after the skins have been judged.[/b]
[b]4. Play nice with the other teammates of not only your team but the other teams, too. I expect positive sportsmanship from all participants.[/b]

Breaking any of these three rules will warrant a point deduction from the team and a strike on that team member. Once the team member gets three strikes, they're officially kicked out from the skin war. Also, any team member can leave the skin war at any time, HOWEVER, they cannot rejoin.

The main purpose of this "skin war" is not to give out prizes but rather to give back to PMC. Ever since day 1 of being here I was a skinner, and I got a ton of help from other skinners along the way to become who I am today. With this, I want to give back and help people become better at skinning. The teams are encouraged to mingle with one another in their team, asking eachother how their skin is and how they can improve. This being said I am able to give any and all advice to any of the four teams.

At the end of the skin war (nine weeks from now) I will announce the winning team of the skin war. The winning team gets the following things:

1. A huge pixel trophy for their little pixel glass case.
2. One free skin request per person on the team, as well as a complementary drawing of the skin.
3. The mythical thing known as a subscription from me.

The winning team of each week gets a cute pixel ribbon for each week they win. Each ribbon will be unique because why not.
