I'm not religious, but I used to be. I understand you, but you can't think of your God as some kind of ruthless dictator, like YHVH in Shin Megami Tensei. That's pretty much what's driving our world into madness, with all these so called "Holy Wars", discrimination and hate. If your God is good and truly loves us all, then it doesn't matter if you're religious, if you pray or anything. If you're a good person, you'll go to Heaven, Nirvana, or whatever. That's what I believe in. That's my "God".
Just think of it. An all-loving God. If everyone were to believe in this God, so many people would be happier. The LGBTGQ-etc community wouldn't be discriminated against, there would be no religious terrorism, religious people would not hate on other religious people (My gods are better than your gods!) or atheists, atheists wouldn't see religion as a problem, et cetĕra. That is my dream.

Hell. Hell is what terrifies me the most, I'm religious (or try to be) And i pray every night for forgiveness. I do not want to end up in hell! And i almost cry every time i think there are people eternely tortured in sulfuric fire. I really don't want to end there and i really try to make people think differently... But i usually called a fagg*t or something like that by a 8 year old or EVEN adults trying to prove me wrong.

For me it's the concept of absolutely nothing like before the universe existed. Complete nothingness is something that I believe the human brain cannot even fathom, as well... If nothing exists nothing is something, and nothing cannot exist if there is not anything... I'd prefer to live your fear than mine.

Same for me, and the fear of the death i connect this to the universe and i'm -snip- terrified, i just imagine that when you are dead, you just are no more something, you finished your only life.. But i think when we are dead we kind of "respawn" lel
