Hey guys I thought this would be a fun tidbit:

The (Est. Late-2015/Early-2016) Celestial Expanse's 8th Birthday is nearly upon us.

Around August 20th 2015 I started work on the first predecessor to CE.

A big thank you to my amazing IRL friends: oshwatt, Amos/Millycow, Polyaqua, Along with a few others that no-longer play Minecraft;
And another massive thanks to my close online friends. Hoshi and EngineeringBean,

I HAVE JUST FOUND THE GREATEST PLUGIN OF ALL TIME, IF YOU RUN A MINECRAFT SERVER YOU NEED TO USE IT: NekoMaid | SpigotMC - High Performance Minecraft

It's basically a remote server management panel that has an absolute ton of features, you can view and edit player's inventories and enderchests, and entity and block data for any entity or block on the server, you can load and unload plugin, edit player's balances (if you have an economy), view all players, their playtime and the last time they logged in. And also manage world settings with multiverse and way more. seriously one of the best plugins I've ever used.

Haven’t posted on here in a while, so here’s a list of some useful tools for Self-Hosting a server and server website:

Purpur (https://purpurmc.org): this is the server software you want to use, it works great, has a ton of options, is really optimized, and gets constant updates.

Crafty Control (https://craftycontrol.com): A great remote server manager with a file manager, scheduled actions, and more. It’s free, fairly easy to set up, and it’s perfect for self-hosting.

XAMPP (https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html): great way to self-host a website, also includes MySQL, FileZilla, and mercury (email server software, you probably won’t want to use mercury though) servers. Be careful to set up everything securely though if using XAMPP, and make sure to change the default passwords, or someone could hack into your computer if they figure out that your using it and you haven’t changed the default passwords.

NamelessMC (https://namelessmc.com): great website template for Minecraft server websites, also has plenty of add-ons and themes you can install, as well as a plugin to hook into your server.

Namecheap (https://www.namecheap.com/): The only paid thing on this list, namecheap lets you buy a custom domain name, which you want to do unless your fine with making your IP public on the internet.

1.19.1 is now out, so to prevent chat reporting on your server you can use this plugin: No Chat Reports - Spigot 1.19 | SpigotMC - High Performance Minecraft

and this plugin prevents the client-sided "chat messages can't be verified" pop-up: ✨ AntiPopup - Get rid of chat reporting and popups! ✨ | SpigotMC - High Performance Minecraft

If you are using fabric or forge as your server software use this mod to to prevent chat reporting in 1.19.1 !!!!!

Now that Microsoft has apparently decided that they want to kill Minecraft by adding chat reporting, I would like to make an announcement directed towards all server owners, asking them to add this plugin: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/antichatreports.102894/ to their server as soon as possible, as this plugin strips cryptographic signatures from chat messages, preventing people from using chat reporting on your server.

Well, now that we have 4 people in the PMC Server Society, I thought I should do a question thingy: “If you could wish for any plugin to exist, what would it be?”

My answer would be a plugin like viaversion, but instead of letting older/newer clients join a server, it lets older plugins work on newer servers. That way you can still use really good plugins that got abandoned in older versions, in a newer version of Minecraft.

Well nobody has used this yet so I thought I might as well post a cool story from my server. One time, while my server was still a private server, I accidentally installed a backdoored plugin. So anyways people started joining and trying to blow stuff up, but apparently had no idea how to properly use their own backdoor plugin. So I shut the server down, replaced the server jar and got rid of the backdoored plugin, but then looked up the plugin they used, and it was a paid backdoor program, so after watching a few videos on it and realizing that the people using it were completely incompetent, I made a copy of my server and re-installed the backdoored plugin onto the copy, and proceeded to open the server. The next 2 hours were so much fun, as they failed to ban me, never remembered to de-op me, and somehow got every worldedit command they tried wrong, until I actually helped them grief my own server (it was just a copy so it didn’t cause any real damage) because they couldn’t figure anything out. So after I got bored I used a troll plugin to get them stuck on the “world loading” screen, which would force them to force-quit their game and restart Minecraft to rejoin, so I did that a few times until they gave up and left, then deleted the copy and started the main server back up. And best of all I never had to enable the whitelist because all they did was join, try .login, and leave as soon as they realized the backdoor plugin was gone for like 2 days before they finally completely gave up. So overall absolutely hilarious experience, 20/10 would recommend.

(but actually don’t backdoor your server on purpose I was dumb, if they were actually using anything worse they could have hacked my PC and stolen all my info and whatnot)

Hello there everyone, I have made a group for all the Server Owners of PMC for discussing server-y stuff, and sharing cool things on their servers, fun stories, or just self-advertising servers. (aggressive advertising of servers, spam posting to advertise servers, etc. is not allowed, just share something cool and put your server address or a link to your server's page in the post.)
