A skin jam themed around creatures and characters from the stories by the author H.P. Lovecraft.

About

!!! PLEASE READ !!!

This is not a contest about love! Please read below for more information on what "Lovecraft" is.

"Lovecraftian" is a specific genre of horror story-writing. This time of year around Halloween is a perfect time for an event of this theme.

It was popularized by and named for a certain H.P. Lovecraft, a short story writer from the early 20th century.
His stories are the origin of such cult classics as "Call of Cthulu" and "At the Mountains of Madness".

If you'd like to read some of these stories, here's a link to a public archive with the grand majority of his work:

If you're pressed for time, or just want to test the waters, I recommend the most famous piece, "Call of Cthulu".

Theme

TL;DR - Make a skin directly or loosely based on Lovecraft's writings, shed some light on your own horrific being, or make the unfortunate soul caught up in the matter!

Dive deep, delve, my crafter, into the pitfalls of human perception!
Your task is to create a skin based on the terrifying Lovecraftian stories, or make something similar. Perhaps you'll be swarmed by fish people from the bottom of the ocean, chased by horrendous flying octopi, or even sucked into the cracks and crevices of the Earth, doomed to fill a hole that was made just for you.

This skin jam is a recreation of the legacy official PMC contest that I helped to host. This contest was one that I was very excited for but our execution and presentation was awful. To this day, it is still known as the worst skin contest on PMC.
