Half done, the base is finally done. I can now finish my creature and decorate the environment!

yeah, I do think I'll alter the rules about the Diorite today. What you've done there is an excellent example of what would be allowed and shows why it should be allowed. The platform is still instantly recognizable but it compliments your build now in a way that the generic starter one would not.
