I have had enough with forge. I'm stopping this mod for a while. Be back soon!

ONLY WORKS WITH FORGE 3.1.2.90 FOR SOME REASON IT WON'T WORK THE NEW FORGE (FML)

This mod adds a block that acts like a furnace, but instead it extracts the dyes from a block/item. This leaves the dye but destroys the thing put inside it.

It's current fuels are water buckets and redstone dust.

Water buckets last only 1 extraction, while redstone dust lasts 3.

To make the dye extractor you surround a furnace with cobblestone.

Dyes added:

-Brown dye (can be made into brown wool) made from extracting brownish blocks

-Dark orange dye (can be made into dark orange wool) made with ink sac and orange dye

-Dark red dye (can be made into dark red wool) made with ink sac and red dye

-Dark grey dye (can be made into dark grey wool) made with grey dye and ink sac

-Beige dye (yep there's wool for it) made with dandelion yellow, brown dye, and bone meal

The current extractor recipes are:

Stone > Gray Dye 1

Cobblestone > Light Gray Dye 1

Cactus > Cactus Green 1

Obsidian > Purple Dye 5

Wooden Planks > Brown Dye 1

Chest > Brown Dye 7

Pumpkin > Orange Dye 5

Clay(Block) > Light Gray Dye 2

Raw Fish > Light Blue Dye 1

Leaves > Lime Dye 1

Sapling > Lime Dye 1

Tall Grass > Lime Dye 1

Vines > Lime Dye 1

Brown Mushroom > Beige Dye 2

For modders

If you want to add a recipe for the extractor you add this to your mod_blablabla file:

ExtractorAPI.addExtracting(*block/item*.shiftedIndex/blockID, new ItemStack(*block/item*));

You need to decompile this mod with your minecraft.jar, modlaoder, and forge 3.1.2.90 in mcp before you do that

Bugs:

When using water buckets as fuel it uses up the bucket

To do:

Add washing machine to wash wool clean

Add the colors and wools form minecraft classic (wool and dyes)

Squash the bugs

Make a better title

Easy way to get dyes!

How to install:

1. You need Modloader

2. Drag the zip into the mods folder.

Tell me any bugs you find.

i suggest you can make recipes for coloured planks, like: brown dye+ wooden planks= dark wooden planks

I would think it would be logical to make it so you extract dyes from colored wool. Instead of items that don't have anything to do with that.

hmm i made it purple because obsidian is not actually black. If you look close enough it's just a really dark shade of purple
and it would be weird to get an ink sac out of obsidian
