PLEASE DON'T LEAVE BEFORE EITHER POSTING A COMMENT SAYING WHY YOU LIKE THE MOD, WHY YOU DON'T LIKE IT, OR WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE CHANGED OR ADDED. (please?)
The Weather Machine Mod adds a weather machine block which, when powered with redstone, changes the surrounding area in a 64 block diameter in different ways depending on what block is placed underneath it, as listed below:
Sand: Changes an area to be more desert like (Sandstone can also be used, with slight differences).
Snow(block): Covers the area in snow, freezes water and turns lava to obsidian.
Dirt: Changes an area to be more dirty (Grass and mycelium can also be used, with slight differences).
Netherrack: Changes an area to be netherlike (Soulsand can also be used, with slight differences).
Water: Replaces all air blocks with water blocks.
Sponge: Replaces water blocks in the area with air blocks.
End Stone: Creates an End like area, and turns trees to obsidian.
Stone: Changes an area to stone.
ANY type of wool: Replaces basic blocks in an area with wool blocks of the color you used.
ANY type of wood: Replaces basic blocks in an area with wood blocks of the type you used.
NOTE: These do not ONLY change blocks in an area to that type of block, they change the whole THEME
Eg. Sand changes dirt to sand, stone to sandstone, lava to water, etc. Netherrack changes dirt and stone to netherrack, sand to soulsand, water to lava, etc. THESE ARE NOT GLITCHES!
Valuable blocks do not change and aren't created using the normal weather machine.
New in version 1.7.6: Blocks under weather machines will not change anymore, even when using another weather machine.
A weather machine with a diameter of only 9 blocks is also added, for using in small areas.
A handheld item is added. Instead of placing the block under a weather machine, you can right click the block (make sure you click the top, not the side!).
A replacer block can be used in many ways. Place the block you want replaced on top and the block you are replacing it with below, and it will do that for all blocks in a 64 block diameter. Back up worlds before using this block, because sometimes if you place an incorrect block, minecraft can crash. All normal blocks should be fine to use though.
A replacer block with a diameter of only 9 blocks is added, for using in small areas.
An advanced weather machine and mini advanced weather machine can not be crafted, but can do all the things the normal weather machine can do, as well as having a function for when a diamond/gold/iron ore block is placed underneath, which makes an 'ore-ful' word (see what I did there?) and for when a diamond/gold/iron block is placed underneath, making a somewhat more shiny world.
The advanced weather changer item also has these properties.
All the blocks are accessible in the blocks tab of the creative inventory. The recipes for the weather machine blocks are in the pictures.
INSTALLATION:
Either - Drag all the files from the zip into your minecraft jar to install. or move the weather machine zip into the /.minecraft/mods folder.
Requires risugami's modloader.
BACK UP YOUR WORLDS!!!
Please give ideas on new functions. Credit will be given. Please can someone make a mod spotlight for the current version? Credit will be given. And if you do make a spotlight, include everything I have written in this post, otherwise people will not understand properly.
Give diamonds too :) (Please?)
