Presenting my take on Star Trek's USS Enterprise 1701-A. Staying true to scale, the dimensions are:

Length: 305 Blocks
Width: 173 Blocks
Height 72 Blocks

I'm working from a number of different schematics and deck plans as a starting point, but the layout of each deck has needed a fair bit of adjustment to fit properly in Minecraft. I'm also using screen captures from the films to design the areas of the ship that are shown on screen.

The model comes with its own custom texture pack, but I have left the 'basic' blocks alone as much as possible so that it can be used on SMP without messing with the landscape.

Nacelle Progress : by DanGovier 10/18/2011 3:29:22 amOct 18th, 2011

I've been focusing my efforts on the nacelles lately, designing the internal hardware so that it matches up with the external features. Here's my progress on the Warp Coils:

It's all quite snug, but you can fully explore the internals of the nacelles via a jeffries tube that runs up through the middle of the nacelle supports alongside the power feeds etc.

I'll update the schematic and world save once the nacelles are finished.

If I may be so bold, how did you take the screenshots of the decks individually? It's rather a neat effect. Also; this is possibly the best Enterprise on here for scale; any thoughts on an interior? Mozzie and Plaff have done some brilliant interiors, and either taking inspiration or letting them do it could make the best Enterprise on the web!

I used MCEdit for the cutaways, just selected an area and hit delete. Well mostly that... I had to cut around some fiddly bits manually :P

I'm going to sit in my corner and violently contemplate how I can match this build. Cheers for the info too!

Must find some schematics for a decent NX-01 now...

NICE! Between this one and that USS Constitution one that Atrocities is working on, we'll be busy for a few days exploring! Love the power system of this btw! Very clever!

Looks sweet. Only suggestion I have would be to swap out wood fencing with netherack fence. Other than that can't wait for the end result.
