Here is a small Contraption ready for 1.8.
Basically you store your unenchanted tools/Weapons/Armor in droppers as well as your enchanted books and you use this machine to select between them.
This is for people who like to use Redstone in a lot of your builds! It's not entirely practical but it's cool and fun to use!
