Hello today i have been building a "close" to scale model of The walking dragline the "Big Muskie".( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Muskie )

(Dozer is NOT included in the Schematic)

Finished the detailing added the cables, bucket, built the front, built base, and added a Dozer for size comparison

I think I saw this crane or a similar crane on youtube. Like the biggest crane in the world or something. wow its huge.

Thanks for the diamond, always appreciated :) and i think it was the largest single-bucket digging machine when it was in operation, but i have no dout and know thats its been matched in size and holding capicty, and surpassed in efficincy and the amount of earth moved by other types of machines. I have a link to the Wiki in the description if you ever want to check it out :) uless you have allready

Ps: Since I have my college one week break, I finally have time to continue my enormous project, but I also have time to do chunky renders for people that I like. I'll download your schematic, make a world, and send you some renders to replace your screenshots. :)

Yea seeing this project actually sparked looking at the wikipediea page for it. Do you know Mike Mulligan and his steam shovel, thats how I was found about the big muskie and the big brutus, gigantic earth moving machine. I think the German bucket wheel excavator Bagger would be a cool minecraft project, I love its design especially since its buckets look like a chainsaw.

That's what I was going to say! Do the Bagger-293 (the biggest) or the 291 or 288.

Thanks for the idea, i may look into it, i'll see if i can find the specs for it ( i usally try to build things close to scale as i can get them) i do have some ideas for building other draglines, and other construction and mining equipment, but i may put this at the top of my list in my head :P
