I built this while I was trying to come up with something like a Vanship from Last Exile. I couldn't get quite small enough to really do it justice, but this one should work pretty well as a shuttle. Stands a better chance of working with mods, too. The name was suggested by ichinose87. It has been parked in the world file for a while, but I had not remembered to upload the schematic.
The idea was something that would look faster than an airship and could make use of the landing pad on the salvage yard. From what I have seen, the hardest thing to do well in Minecraft is to build small. Building big is relatively easy, particularly with McEdit and similar tools. The bigger challenge for me is to build detail on a small scale using a very limited set of blocks.
This version is unarmed. The only mechanism is the hatch. I am going to go work on a pirate version of this design that is armed.

good job brah.
If you are using a single balloon, a good rule of thumb is that the hull should be 4-6 blocks narrower than the width of the balloon, and about 2/3s as long. Less than that and the balloon looks too big. More than that and it doesn't look big enough. If you are using multiple balloons you can make the hull longer and wider without it looking strange.
