After many years of making stuff with redstone I have almost made my first 5x5 redstone door, this is my first attempt, it is very fast closing and reasonably fast opening. The only problems are that is that it does not reract the middle block yet and it is quite big. I hope to upload a propper 5x5 piston door soon and maybe eventualy a flush version.

I havent tested it on pervious versions but it deffinatly works with 1.8. you will of course need to change the blocks if you were going to try to use it in versions before 1.8
