Andara is my first full landscape project.
The map was originally intended for the Agion RP server, but Agion is now officially dead, so here it is, free for anyone to use as long as credit is given. That is all I ask if you use this map; make sure you link back to this thread and send me a message if you use it.

The world is enormous and it will take you an eternity to see every part of it.

This is the full, uncut, map.

The thought behind the map was that there would be several very distinct nations, all neatly placed in their own biome and continent; deserts, plains, taigas jungles and islands were all placed in order to fit in with this idea. a mesa and a red desert were added to make sure all materials were accessible in some way.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to hop off and do some things. You'll find your way around, won't you?

(Download is big; just around 2 GB, rared)

Is this just a freshly exported worldpainter world, or is it something else? Either way, it's very impressive.

It is an exported worldpainter world, but MC is asked to populate the terrain with trees, resources and so on, so it's fully compatible with 1.8

I'm pretty sure a normal map isn't 2gb... I'm gonna skip the download. I'd love to look at it though.

Since it is fully customized it adds a little to the file size, but for the most part it's big just because of the sheer size of the map; trust me when I say, if you were to explore a world fully the same way it'd be taking up the same space :)
