Basic Info
The ART-M Mk2 (Artemis-Mini TNT-Cannon Recycler System Mark 2) is a 4x4 Recycler unit for adjustable trajectory TNT cannons. This unit allows for a cannon to fire continuously and adjust its trajectory even while the lever is active. This alleviates the downtime in which ship captains would need to take their eyes off the target to press a button. The Artemis allows for a steady, quick, and continuous rate of fire.
This is a miniaturized version of the original 5x4 Artemis Recycler System. It has the same capabilities but the trigger mechanism has been compacted significantly. This system while small has several drawbacks. Mainly that the recycler may cause the cannon to detonate if the recycler flipped off while the lamp is off. Another drawback is that there are a couple of seconds that the recycler takes to "warm-up" before beginning to fire. This applies to single-shot semi-automatic as well.
Unlike other recycler systems with half tick adjustment capability, this recycler uses a target block and impact from a projectile in order to simulate a button press every 80 Gameticks (Recommended 82 Gameticks). It's also considerably more compact than other recycler systems.
Note: Make sure when installing the gun that you do not block any of the places a piston needs to extend into.

The recycler essentially replaces the original buttons of the central timing mechanism with a target block that is shot with a dispenser filled with snowballs every 80-82 game ticks. Levers toggle which dispenser is active to switch between half and whole ticks which allows for fine-tuned adjustment of the trajectory of the cannon.
The central timing mechanism for the gun is a pulse extender. How it works is that when the turret is powered by the Redstone torch tower underneath it, the propellant is dispensed. Upon powering the turret, the comparator clock is also locked preventing it from dispensing projectiles too early while a delayed signal is sent to the back of it. When the power turns off, the comparator clock is unlocked and the delayed signal stays on for a period of time turning the comparator clock on dispensing projectiles. A separate repeater train is sent to the pistons which control the arc of the gun. The pulse extender acts to determine when the piston will extend and when it will drop. The projectiles when dispensed will sit on top of the extended piston and drop when the piston retracts.
The point at which the projectiles are at while they fall as the piston retracts when the propellant explodes is what determines the arc/trajectory of the gun. The longer the pulse is given to the gun, the later the piston will drop and thus the higher the trajectory. The shorter the pulse is given to the gun, the lower the trajectory. Because the projectiles are in mid-air when the propellant explodes, the blast force from the propellant TNT is unhindered by anything and allows the gun to reach much longer ranges with less propellant than most guns that use slabs or other mounting blocks for their projectiles.
The central timing mechanism/pulse extender is outside of the gun and can be wired to multiple turrets to adjust the trajectory and fire multiple turrets at the same time with the same trajectory.
Movecraft Compatibility
The turret is compatible with the Movecraft plugin and can be mounted on airships or as a stand-alone rotating turret if you wish to use it for base defense.

No plugins are required for the recycler and cannon to function as it is a purely Redstone device. However, the cannon can be used on Movecraft warships with their turret feature to allow it to face in different directions. Some servers that run Movecraft are ToTheEnd, Airship Pirates, and Strangelands.
