A world initially created with World Painter. I have made a large volcano that is incredibly rich in gold ore. This is the main body of the island with a lagoon further to the left this makes the island look like a wonky infinity sign. The lagoon is where I plan to make the city itself (underwater obvs), the modern day and ancient myths seem to indicate a volcano and with Atlantis sinking into the sea, I thought of a lagoon. The new(ish) film Journey 2 the mysterious island caught my imagination when I got World Painter. However I do need some feedback about my ideas:
  • A central 'Hub' with spokes that come out like a cart wheel. These other buildings may include library, a sports centre, a bakery and other things you would find in a city (shops and stuff).
  • I would make a small look-out tower near the rim of the volcano.
  • Most of the materials used would be sand, sandstone and glass.
  • A spire that rose out of the middle of the city, would make a good port for ships and boats and a city hall.
  • The small passage way which leads to the ocean could be heavily defended with two big towers that control import and export.
If you have any good ideas I am more than willing to take them on however the initial hub will take a few days to be created (I'm gonna make a large 'bubble' out of glass which has to be hollowed out by dropping dirt and clearing it away :/ ).
