Hello,
this time I'd like to present the San Zeno's basilica and the roman triumphal arch. They are located on the Isola Imperiale district, in the past a centre of a significant roman colony, nowadays inhabitated mostly by the modest but respectable citizens.
Teh Arco Romano is the most overwhelming and impressive structure in the whole city - state an, in fact, it's the only remain of the ancient Romans' presence in the area. It's built mostly of white marble ant it's so well preserved due to its rilevancy as an important vantage point.
The romanesque basilica and a small Cistercians' monastery are built of stone bricks. The fasade and the bell tower are decorated with marble taken from the roman structure.
The arch has been inspired by the Septimius Severus one, located in Rome, whereas the basilica is based on Basilica di San Zeno at Verona.
