Blades of Fire
The awesome adventure made by silvahteeth, made in 1.3.2.
Current Map Version: Beta 1.0.1
RULES:
1: No going outside of the maps boundaries (fences, blocks. Tell
me if there is a spot where it needs to be secure)
2: No breaking blocks except the ones down below.
3: You can ONLY place: Torches, levers, buttons, boats (You may throw items)
4: Play on Easy +
5: DO NOT set your gamemode to 2, even though this is an adventure map!
6: Read the story when told to.
7: NO MOD USAGE!
8: If playing in multiplayer, the max amount of players is 2.
9: If in singleplayer, take only HALF the treasures in chest (ex. 2 Golden Apples, take only 1)
THE PAGE SYSTEM:
When you come across a sign telling you to read a book, read it automatically if it's story-related.
It should say something like: Chapter 1 Page 2. Read the story IN ORDER! Sidequests are optional,
so if you want to read it go ahead.
BANKS/STORING ITEMS:
In each town, there is a bank where you can store items.
Banks are useful as you can store crap you don't need, but are important.
GAMEPLAY TIME: This map is about 4 hours long.
(Not doing any sidequests totals to 2 hours.

I'll edit the description of the Banks, as keepInventory is on.
Also, this map will take awhile to reach 100% :L
Also, why isn't this snapshot compatible?
Also, judging from what you said about the Banks, I'm guessing you don't have keepInventory on. It lets you keep your inventory after you die. You can turn it on by doing /gamerule keepInventory True in the chat. But, it's case-sensitive, so make sure the "I" in Inventory's capped.
