HMS Agamemnon was a 3rd rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, she took part in all major conflicts of the Anglo-French War, the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. She was famous for being Lord Nelson's favourite ship which he commanded from 1793 to 1796. She took part in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 and she forced the surrender of the legendary Spanish ship of the line Santisima Trinidad. She ran aground in 1809. Her wreck was located and one of her cannons was found together with some artifacts.
Her name comes from the Mythological Greek King Agamemnon, brother of King Menelaus of Sparta, they were the ones that started the 10 year war with Troy.. bla bla bla just watch the movie Troy or idk read the Ilyad (really worth it btw).
