designed so that fighters can be launched from underneath the thick armoured shell without worrying about getting pwned
also a bit of a test to see how much ship i could fit behind one big-ass shield (answer: not very much. but i wasnt very clever with the interior either)
in hindsight i would have made the engines thrust perpendicular to the direction of the shell but i guess this works too
in future i reckon using the shield to mount more turrets is probably a viable option
