Hello,
This time I'd like to present the Castelnuovo and Ducal Gardens. The castle is an official renaissance summer residence of the Doge, but it's mostly used by his official guests and art gallery. It's made of polished white marble and its roofs are covered with red bricks.
The whole complex is located in the Nuovo district and it covers nearly its half. In the gardens there are also four noble summer residences and some magnificent fountains (such as Fontana di Tervi) and roman obelisks.
The castle is mostly based on the palace at Beauclair from The Witcher III: Blood and Wine, whereas the fountain recalls the famous baroque Fontana di Trevi in Rome. The idea to create a huge garden inside the city walls derives from the Giardino di Boboli im Florence.
