I guess it would have helped to watch xisumavoid's video that you linked in the description. He explains how it works.

The jukebox basically acts as a comparator that reads the output signal from the discs to determine which song to play. Each disc has a different output signal strength which gets sensed by the comparator that you have coming out of the jukebox.

Very clever design, nice work on the overflow protection!
