OK, so here is a true Wizard's tower for you. There are two editions in the pack if I managed to get it right. One is furnished, one is unfurnished.

The creators of the Soatex Fanver texture pack:
https://soartex.net/

This is the texture pack featured in the screenshots. It is the ONLY pack, for Minecraft 1.12.2 which blends stone together well, provides chiseled blocks and doors which look good, AND provides a beautiful sky! Minor niggles include the small bricks for the stone brick texture, and the pinkish looking "white" clay.

Sildur's Enhanced Default Shaders (used in the screenshots):

The creators of the John Smith Legacy, JimStone Craft Edition texture pack:

Initially I designed the tower using these textures. But the stone doesn't blend right and the chiseled sandstone has a creeper face on it. I wanted to move onto a texture pack that would allow me to blend related textures together well for my next project, a castle.

AndyIsYoda:

Not only did he make an excellent video on how to create tower roofs, he is also quick to respond to comments and still active. So many Minecraft creators have vanished into the sunset, but AndyIsYoda is still around, and I appreciate that!

Installation Instructions
Here are the steps for those using World Edit (easiest):
1. Place the .schematic file(s) into C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\config\worldedit\schematics (where user_name is your user name on your computer.)
2. Press T or whatever button you have assigned to the Chat window, and type, "schem load mcedit name_of_schematic" (without quotes, where name_of_schematic is the name of the .schematic file.)
3. In the same window, after it has loaded successfully, type, "//paste" (also without quotes.)
4. The structure will appear directly in front of you.
5. If you are not happy with its placement, type, "//undo" (yet again without quotes.)
6. If you want to paste the structure without air blocks (space around the structure) type, "//paste -a" (you guessed it, no quotes.)
7. You can rotate the structure before pasting using the "//rotate" command (without quotes, common values include 90, 180, 270.)
8. If you get stuck, or if you are loading schematics some other way and get stuck, please comment.

Slight screw-up on my end... When you want to load this tower into your world, place a block, so you are standing 1 block above the area you wish to place this. Otherwise it will dig into the ground a block. I forgot to place the block 1 block lower than the structure when I copied and save the schematic.

If this is confusing I will try to explain... As far as I understand it, the player has to be standing on the same level or plane as any structure you are copying and saving as a schematic. The player must be centered with the structure, just at the edge of the structure, and on the same level as the structure. That way, when it is pasted into a world, it places perfectly and all you have to do is rotate in 90 degree increments.

I should make a tutorial on this...
