I played it up to the end stage when out of curiousity, i pressed the button that said press me and i died and the spawnpoint you set up did not work, so i was in the middle of nowhere and couldn't finish the map..

Redownload the map. SherwoodBoys (even though I didn't like it) added that button. I don't know why...
...by the way, you need to be in 1.7.9 for the map to work properly.
