This is one of my favorite builds, a futuristic skyscraper made mostly of iron blocks and Notch's strange new double slabs (AKA concrete blocks). The interior is decorated and well-lit but mostly empty. I didn't really have a purpose in mind when I built this other than to look pretty. This build is 96 blocks high, so it won't fit in your standard Minecraft map without some serious landscaping!
