Inspired by the Beartooth and Absaroka Mountains in springtime.

You can use these in your own builds and maps. I only ask that if it is posted online or used in a server, that you credit me as the builder and link to my PMC profile.

Update #2 : by emilianaaa 11/28/2022 2:06:56 pmNov 28th, 2022

Rehosted download on Mediafire now that it's online again. Also fixed an issue with the river as for some reason the water level did not fill in globally.

Did you unzip the file?

Also this map was made in version 1.19.2. I haven't tested it with older Minecraft versions.

I'm taking this as my sign to finally go to the Beartooths and stop putting it on my "get to one day" list. Beautiful map!

You mentioned in your Wind River Range timelapse that you did field camp there; mine was mostly in and around the Tetons, but we did have a trip where we went to Yellowstone and the Beartooths, and a few other places (Quake Lake, the Absarokas, Star Valley, Heart Mountain Detachment, Rattlesnake Mountains... etc.)

Didn't visit the Wind River Range specifically (though I am quite familiar with some of the rock formations there), but we did drive through it a number of times. Really beautiful!

I genuinely think you'd love it, if you ever get the chance to go. The scenery is amazing and there are loads of places you can climb (and also find critters in) and get an amazing view and photos. The place is so high up you can genuinely see for miles. The air up there feels amazing, and the geology's pretty awesome, too.

Hey hey hey, fellow geologist Minecrafter! In Wyoming we did a week at Green River Lakes, and that was our first multi-day mapping assignment lmao. Talk about getting thrown in the deep end. We did another 3 days mapping at the Prospect and Darby Thrusts at the front of the Wyoming Range, then another 4 days mapping the Commissary and Absaroka Thrusts in the Salt River Range. Good times in the thrust belt, not as majestic as the Winds but was honestly the most fun I had mapping. The rest of field camp we spent in Nevada looking at core complexes and Basin and Range type things. I think being in Wyoming was the first time I ever felt like a real geologist.

Excellent recommendation on the Beartooths - I'm quite far away from that part of the country but I try to make it there every summer, so hopefully this summer will be the one.
