The Giant Castle Project!

This is a project i've been working on for quite some time, and decided to post it on here once I discovered the site.  The basis for the castle is taken from many other castles from Google Images and also my dream for what it shall look like.

NOTE: I did not use an editing program or mod to build this, it is 100% legitimate.(see pictures)

The actual castle will be much larger, scaling over the tops of mountains behind the castle so far.  For those who believe I didn't build this via my own work, I assure you that I did. In my pictures I show my furnaces and mines with which I created this structure, and if I could post pictures right now, you'd see it is half completed, and the inside/ground within the walls is barely touched, because I haven't gotten to that yet, if I had an editing program, wouldn't I just put that in?

Moving on...for those wondering how MANY blocks ive used, I lost count, or rather, never counted, because the tower on the far right was originally all I was going to build, however...I became interested in the idea of a giant castle, and here I am.

SO, how far am I to completion?

Overall: 40%
Inside:15%
Walls:30%
(Watch)Towers:70%

There is certainly much work to be done.

I will try to keep this updated regularly with photos and such.


EDIT: I've put up some new towers, and started building walls in the back, also, I built myself a ship and a pier/dock area in the harbor. lemme know what you think! :D

Better than all the ones that i've made combined...


Just a quick question, is the area in the middle (with the beach area and water) going to be smoothed out eventually, and become like a courtyard with other buildings in the area? That would be awesome.

yes it certainly will. my dream is even to extend the land out a little, and build more beach-side buildings and boats, and some peasant houses, right now inside of that first wall are the commoners homes, and theres a much larger courtyard in the nobles part, in the center.

love it. looks legit, but perhaps you could give people the schematic or world? I know tht I for one would love to take a more in depth look at it. Either way good job! you deserve a diamond, a notch, and a cookie!

I have no intention of offending you or anything, but you are being a hippocrate if you are being negative to him using inv edit (he didn't by the looks of it) because on your mob tower you used a map editor instead of building a spawning room.


Be more constructive with your critisism next time please.
