The Griffon is basically a suped-up version of the Raptor class light shuttle. Faster, more passenger space, and with better standard on-board systems (sensors, comms, and shields), the only downside is the Griffon's larger size in caparison to the Raptor, making it less popular with smaller ship captains.

Notable Varients:
EWACs Varient. Includes a large dish mounted on top for active scanning and frequency jamming, improved comms for piercing local jamming interference, and a small, short-ranged FTL unit for quick recon missions.
Tactical Varient. Includes enhanced passive sensors, a small, tight-beam comms unit, and an upgraded, base-mounted hull-breach hatch for ship assaults.

Builder's note: If this guy looks familiar to you it's because it was my last attempt at building a Raptor from BSG before I finally built a Raptor that I was happy with. Since the Griffon turned out too big, I just ended up miniturizing it and turned the result into what I now call the Raptor Class Light Shuttle and kept this little lady the way she was!
