Huntington’s Union Station is the cities primary railway station located at the edge of Old Huntington on the south side of Ross Avenue bounded by Central Boulevard, the F-405 Bay Freeway and the F-5 Crosstown Freeway. The station has four platforms for its six dedicated tracks with access to a seventh track. All four platforms are connected to the stations lower passenger concourse with only the platform closest to the station accessible from the upper concourse. The lower passenger concourse contains six different shops including a bookstore, convenience store, and café. The lower concourse also has direct access to the road south of the station allowing passengers quick access to the nearby hotel and bus terminal.

The stations main hall features two ticket booths, one on either side of the hall, as well as two large arrival and two large departure boards directly across from the main entrance. The halls main focal point is its chandelier prominently centered above the main waiting area. All other sections of the station are accessible from the main hall via stairs or ramps.

Besides the café, the station also offers passengers the choice of fine dining at its restaurant, located on the upper floor of the east wing. The restaurants main focal point is the large aquarium at its center dividing the main seating area from the bar. The lower floors of the east wing contain the stations restrooms, luggage storage room, the lost and found, station security rooms, and office space for employees.

The lower floor on the stations west wing has been completely renovated to connect the station with the cities metro. From Union Station passengers can board the Huntington Metros Aviation, Evergreen, and Circuit lines. This allows passengers to travel to and from Huntington International Airport, downtown Huntington, and several of the cities suburbs.
