Greetings strange dwellers of the internet,

I got bored, and started building medieval again. This developed into a valley, which is in an autumn setting, with a large wall sprawling across the valley. 

Just to note, the formation of the valley resembles that of a glaciated river valley, rather than just a river's path.



Here's a 'wee' bit of lore:


Once, in times gone by, where empires stood tall, legends lived their tales, and the wilderness was a kingdom, there was but a few known lands. Thus was a land known, Motóra, the land with the sleeping mountain. This was once an unsettled land indeed, yet man laid their seeds upon it, creating a peaceful nation of kingdoms. The kingdom of Ferranun ruled Motóra by democratic rule, with the majority of decisions being of the people themselves; woe to those who tried to rule by force.

In the valley of Dasprev, in the kingdom of Farrenun, there was a fortification. This was built in 203Ei (Motórian time method), yet it was originally a wood and loose stone defensive wall across the valley to maintain control of passing merchants, while defending against bandits. Over the years, as Farrenun's fortune increased, it was developed into a formidable stone fortification with a garrison of 20 guards.

However, 50 years later, an enemy horde from across the Sea of Forests landed thousands of dragonships in the Bay of Beisa, quickly defeating the coastal cities, due to their lack of preparation. Thus began the invasion of the lands of Motóra, the horde destroying all that was in their path. As each city fell, each kingdom crumbling, they reached the kingdom of Farrenun. The Count of Farrenun, Count Eiquas, ordered all remaining soldiers back to the capital of the great kingdom. Thus the Dasprev fortifications were ordered to be abandoned, though the horde at reached the valley by this point, swiftly dispaching of the small resistance.

Alas, the Count's efforts were in vain; his great army of 200,000 men, and 1000 knights loyal to the Count were defeated at the capital of Farrenun, Kraskae. With the army weakened by earlier battles with the enemy, both morale and the army were weakened, contrary to the Count's many wise speeches. Thus Motóra was left to ruin, as the memories of the great horde became legend, and the fortifications became a memory of times past.

Even to this day, nobody knows why the horde seeked to destroy Motóra nor who they where, save the reference of 'the legion'.
