Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo

Kunsternes Hus is an art gallery located in Oslo. Its the largest art gallery under the leadership of artists. The name of the buildings in english means " ArtistsHouse ". The building is one of the most prominent examples of Functionalist archtecture in Norway. You can also call it deocrated functionalism, a style that was also used on the Oslo City Hall. An architectural contest was held in 1928 and was won by Gudolf Blakstad and Herman Munthe-Kaas. The building stood completed and opened in 1930.
