February 2015 Update!
The Script is 100% complete but some slight changes may stll be applied to it. BUT I do still need some quality voice acting so please e-mail if interested. I have several types of characters to play so please let me know what your best voices are (ie: Scottish, English, American, etc). Also I have gotten a decent chunk of programming done. A couple quests. The Side Quests for re-opening closed stores will be what takes the longest so I am saving that for the very end. Also will need some voice acting for those but that is the last thing of all things I will work on. Just wanted to update and show that I am still working on this and making great progress :) Will be posting new video updates as progress is made so check back frequently!

BLACK FRIDAY UPDATE 2014
So I know it's a day late but wanted to put at least SOMETHING up (since the game takes place on Black Friday) to show my progress so here is a quick video I recorded and threw together to show off the first 20 minutes or so of gameply that I've completed. NOTE: This is still VERY ealry ALPHA and A LOT of things are subject to change but this is just to show I AM working on the project. I could still use some help on this project so if anyone is interested please check the info in the video or at the bottom of this page. About:
The adventure map will take many aspects similar to Dead Rising in terms of crafting. Many Items will have been named or textured different then normal minecraft to give it a feel of a whole new game and will also include voice acting and ambient sounds of traffic, crowds, as well as other unique FX. There will be 60 stores in the mall plus other outside attractions. You get to shop and explore all of them, before, during, and after the zombie apocalypse. Once in the post-apocalypse zombie outbreak world, survivors will be stuck in their stores and you have to go help them with various tasks in order to get them to re-open shop so you can buy/obtain the things you need to survive and escape the "Mall of the Dead".

Story:
It's Black Friday and the Crossroads Mall is having its GRAND OPENING and YOU are a new member on the security team. You moved there recently with your family for this job but your past is shrouded in mystery. You have some time before your shift to shop and explore the new mall, but things start to go terribly wrong. Somehow you end up in a coma and awake two weeks later in a makeshift safehouse in the security room beneath the mall with a couple survivors. You emerge to find an icy wasteland and people that need your help still trapped in their stores. Fight off hordes of zombies and other monsters to get to them and help the shops re-open. As you help the survivors you start to discover there is a deeper, darker mystery to be unveiled including the occult and bioterrorism as a result of corporate greed. Try and survive the horror within and help the survivors escape the Mall of the Dead!

Welcome to the official "Mall of the Dead" minecraft adventure map development page. I will try my best to post any new progress updates here on a biweekly basis so you can follow the development of this project leading up to it's release which is still to be announced. This map will take place around the Holiday Season and would love to have it out by Christmas time or around then if possible BUT I do have to work a real job and thus has most likely set me back to the point of not being able to release it by then so if you want to see this project completed sooner or by then please DONATE so I can take more time off work to finish the map :)
