“We didn't realise we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun.” it’s one of those old & beautiful quotes that we hear a lot nowadays, especially from within the gaming community that rings true to so many of us.

Today I’ll be not only taking you on a trip down nostalgia street while also teaching you a little bit about the history of the first title update that ever came to Minecraft legacy console edition I’ll also be sharing a historic piece of Minecrafts past with you.

Introducing the Minecraft Legacy Console Edition TU1 Tutorial world! This world designed by the extremely talented 4J Studios was to many of us our first introduction to Minecraft. Released with the official launch of Minecraft Xbox 360 edition on May 9th, 2012 on the Xbox Live Arcade store this masterpiece of a map quickly taught many (including myself) the basics of this beautiful new game called Minecraft.

When you loaded into the “tutorial world” you wouldn’t be overwhelmed you’d be welcomed. It was explained to you straight away what Minecraft was in a few simple but valuable words: “Minecraft is a game about placing blocks to build anything you can imagine. At night monsters come out, make sure to build a shelter before that happens.” And that was it.

After completing some basic instructions such as how to move around, jump, chop things, open your inventory & craft you would then be told about how nighttime can approach quickly, and how it can be dangerous to be outside unprepared. The game then would advise you to consider completing the abandoned Miner's shelter at spawn to be safe overnight.

In the surrounding area, you’ll discover a few more things including a chest with an alarming amount of fishing rods in it, another chest with a couple of boats & lastly a lone furnace with no fuel just waiting to be stolen. But the main thing you’ll probably notice is the massive wool sign in the sky saying “Minecraft” it’ll quickly become your soul mission to build up to that sign & curiously see what's within it or better yet just steal the wool… trust me.

I want to clarify that although I am sharing the tutorial world downloads for both the Java & Bedrock versions & making the video showcasing the map, obtaining it would not have been possible without the amazing collaboration & help I received from my good friends & fellow Minecraft LCE supporters “Jake, Emmie & MC4F” these people invested insane amounts of their own time to help make this possible so please show them some love also by subscribing to their channels. :)
