“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” it’s probably the only quote that could best describe the TU3 Tutorial World.
Dubbed by many as the “Redstone Tutorial World” this map was an integral stepping stone for 4J Studios on their long & amazing journey to creating some of the most iconic, beloved & talked about tutorial worlds many of us remember fondly. With it being the first tutorial world to teach us about new features that had arrived with an update, it was our first example of what many would call a modern-day tutorial world.
Educating all of us on the new features & additions that just got released & letting us test them, it also sadly was the last time we’d see the first tutorial world in all its glory. Today I’ll be not only talking about this amazing world & giving you a modern-day tour of it with beautiful BSL shaders, but I’ll also be sharing this historic piece of Minecrafts past with you.
Released with the third title update on July 13th 2012 the Minecraft Legacy Console Edition TU3 Tutorial world designed by the exceptionally talented 4J Studios was to many of us our first introduction to pistons.
The update wasn’t anything huge like current-day updates such as the Caves & Cliffs but it was impactful, many players had been patiently waiting since Minecraft got released on Xbox for the addition of pistons & this update brought them, along with shears, the ability to play with different skins other than Steve & some much-needed bug fixes.
I want to clarify that although I am sharing the tutorial world downloads & making this video, obtaining this map would not have been possible without the amazing collaboration & help I received from my good friends & fellow Minecraft LCE supporters “Jake, Emmie & MC4F” these people invested insane amounts of their own time to help make this project possible so please show them & their amazing YouTube channels some love by subscribing to them!
