Instead, may I suggest the following object terrain packs that offer custom giant mushrooms? Using any of them on your island instead of the default ones could give the island more personality. Since the terrain is already formed, you may have to paste them in by hand using the third party app MCEdit, but if you are willing to take the time it might be worth it.

I do like how the terrain is formed. The mountains are dynamic and the crater inside does invite exploration. And I can't help but wonder who lives in that tiny shack. @_@ Certainly not the big black duck you are asking for!?
