I am now working on building the Oosterscheldekering. It is a barrier laying in the south west of the Netherlands (Zealand). It closes of the Oosterschelde (East Scheldt). It also connects the inslands of Noord-Beveland and Schouwen-Duiveland. It also carries the N57 road wich connects Rotterdam with MIddelburg. The thing is seperated by two artificial island into 3 holes (Roompot, Hammen and Schaar). The building is declared one of the seven modern world wonders.

The building started in april 1976 and it was opened in oktober 1986. It consist of 65 pillars with 62 steel doors. The pilars where constructed in dry-docks on the work island Neeltje-Jans. The where towed into place by the ship Ostrea. (pictures of the building proces and of the completed thing are included)
