OUTLAST IN MINECRAFT:

Welcome to Mount Massive Asylum. This going to be a complete recreation of the horror game Outlast in Minecraft. The storyline, locations, and music is all going to be exactly the same as it is in the original game. My inspiration for creating this came from two things. One, Outlast is my all time favorite horror game, as the art style and music is absolutley fantastic. Two, I was looking for a *complete* version of Outlast recreated in Minecraft, but there was only half finished ones, and ones that looked promising, but had been abandoned. I'm creating this all by hand, meaning that I'm not using MCEdit, or any other mods to speed up the process. This is all my work. There will also be a resource pack available, containing textures, a complete overhaul of the main menu, music, and much more. I am not anticipating using any mods in the actual map. This should be a mod-free map downlaod when it is complete. Speaking of completion, chances are, this won't be complete until sometime next year. This is an absolutely huge project, but I will post updates weekly, so everyone can see where I'm at. 

WEEK 1:

So far, I have almost completed the area with the gates. I'm working on the scenery outside of the gates, to add to the immersion of the map. Outside of the gates will be inaccessible.  I'm attatching pictures to show you guys what the menu looks like, and what I have done in game so far. Work on the actual asylum should begin before next weeks update.

Mini Update:

So, I've basically finished the pavement area, and now I'm starting to build a skeleton of the asylum. So far, I've only started the main entrance, but I think it's coming along nicely overall. I've updated the pictures to show progress.


WEEK 2:

Hello everyone! Today I'm bringing you my Week 2 update! A LOT has progressed since week one. I'm hesitant on showing pictures, because I'm at the point where I'm closing up the asylum's walls, which means I should start work inside the asylum by next week. The full front of the asylum is completed at this point in time. Right now I'm finishing up the right side, where two locked gates are, then I'm going to start work on the left side where the secret entrance to the asylum is. Now, when I say I'm closing up the asylum's wall, this means that you won't be able to see ANY construction from the front. There is still going to be a ton of construction that has to be done on the asylum. But, next week I am going to release Teaser Posters to show the completed front of the asylum. And I mean the entire front. Everything you can see from the front of the asylum in game, is going to be there in this recreation. That about wraps up this weeks update. A lot has been done, even since the pictures I uploaded last. Next weeks update will be a big one with Teaser Posters, more info about construction, and maybe even a sneak preview of some of the asylum's lovely patients.
