Populus Lucis, Latin for the "tribe of light" is my project entry. I was aiming for a more joyful and heaven themed build as opposed to a dark, true nether society. I thought that it turned it just fine in the end, but I would have loved more time to work on it. Throughout the time period, I completed most of the building in the last week or so, mainly due to my laziness and because I was interested in other activities at the time. I used world edit a ton in this build and I feel world edit should be getting the credit not me...lol. Anyway, time to start my History paper...right after the lore.

Lore

When Steve found himself in the nether he thought that it was a horrible, wild place. He looked around and saw nothing but lava, fire, and tall netherrack mountains left and right. However, Steve was persistent, he explored the vast land, he was later rewarded with the discovery of life. Steve had stumbled upon Populus Lucis, an abandoned town that was mysteriously kept in perfect condition. As he continued to wander through this town, he came to the strange conclusion that there was more to the town then he first anticipated. aside from the docks, shopping area and building, he discovered something strange; the boats were not moving. In fact, he soon realized that nothing was moving. The lava was perfectly still, everything seemed as if it was frozen in place. Thats not all, Steve found that on top of the mountains there these strange towers, and they seemed to be creating an aura of light below them on the mountains. As Steve took a closer look he realized that the aura of light was pushing the mountains inward, slowly shrinking them. Suddenly, Steve hears the sound of footsteps. He looks around, but can't find anyone or anything. Right as he decides its nothing he hears a different sound, a small cry. He then sees a small little cave in the corner of his eye carved into one of the mountains and determines that the noises are coming from the cave. Steve hears the cry again, and begins to slowly and stealthily creep towards the cave. His heart is racing, his life could be in jeopardy, stranded in this realm. Now Steve is just to the left of the opening, heart still racing. After standing in silence he finally makes up his mind; its now or never. Steve takes one last deep breath before he...
