Port Caldwell began as a manor house being built on top of a hill, but soon turned into a sprawling port town. The manor house now sits atop the hill for the rich family of the town to live, overlooking the many residential houses and public buildings open to explore freely. Currently, the buildings included are: Market, Schoolhouse, Farm, Town Hall, Small Prison, Tavern/Inn, Docks (with Port Master's Office), Blacksmith, Small Keep, a Fishery, a Mine, town flags, and Chapel. As soon as a proper layout can be made, I plan on creating an area devoted to shops and utilities. Any suggestions before the final version is released, please comment below or send a PM! All constructive criticism is welcome! ^-^

The texture pack used during construction, and the recommended pack for the town, is Wolfhound Seasons Winter pack: http://www.planetminecraft.com/texture_pack/wolfhound-seasons/

I will herein begin my review:

First, the bad: Some areas had chests which had nothing in them or were lacking something for an amenity in the home. Specifically, there was a house with a jukebox but the chests in the house all lacked music disks. The Town Hall had several chetss, but they were lacking in paper, written books, books, quill, and ink, etc. Also, the inn had items in the chests in two of the rooms, but the rest lacked items. I do not know if this was planned or not, but I assumed it was not planned.

Now, the good: Read the bad things one more time. Do you see how ridiculously minor, obscure, and anal-retentive those bad things are? That is amazing. Out of the entire town, I mainly had problems with the chests, which is arguably the most minor detail of all, and the town is barely over half-way done. Kudos to you, good sir. The houses, the buildings, the whole town was extremely beautiful, well thought out, and a pleasure to walk through. The texture pack made it even more so, but if you were to turn it off, it is still beautiful. The level of detail put into the houses and buildings is very impressive and thoughtful.

Suggestions: Signs over the graves would be a nice touch, but definitely not mandatory. The farm could use animals, say four of each except eight chickens. The manor (The building made from clay bricks) could also use an enchantment table in the area with the bookshelves to add to the effect of it having a personal library. I would say that adding a small fort or outpost would be a cool flourish as well. Other suggested buildings: Tannery (Perhaps near the Smithy), Public Library (Any place would be fine), Fishery (Near the port, of course), and a small Mine (Near the base of the mountain perhaps).

All of these suggestions are up to you. It is your town, and you did an awesome job. Keep at it.

9.6/10 - That paragraph about the bad only took off .4 points. Be proud and keep up the good work. :D
