Project 621 Rook corvette is based on Blohm & Voss MEKO A-100 ships design. The Rook produced by Mercury company for it navy is armed with one OTO Melara 76 mm auto-cannon, 8 RBS-15 mk 3 anti ship launch tubes. 15 VLS tubes for Tomahawks and Sea Sparrow missiles. 2x3 MU90 Impact torpedo tubes hided inside the ship and extended only for launching torpedos, to have more stelath capabilities. On a board of Rook class we have also one RAM Mk 31 Guided Missile Weapon System. It have an landing pad for helicopters, tilt-rotor aircrafts like Merkurys TR-35 or UAVs. The ship is 95 meters long, 13 meters width and its range is ~3000 NM with speed of 19 knots. The max speed of this class of ships is 41 knots based on Mercurys Navy tests. The crew of this ship consist of 27 mans. The food supplies are enough for 4 months. It also have one patrol boat that can be hided inside the ship.

The ships do not have a consistent numbering because of the multitude of such projects in the Mercurys Navy and construction problems. The Rook class is part of a ADS- Achelous Defense System that consist of 3 teritory defense crafts classes Rook, Heron and Swordfish.
