Project Farlandso goal is to bring one of the most popular games on the web today to the classroom for educational purposes. Minecraft, the game of choice, is defined by the Minecraft Wiki as o ...a sandbox construction game, inspired by Infiniminer, Dwarf Fortress and Dungeon Keeper, created by Markus Persson, the founder of Mojang AB. The game involves players creating and destroying various types of blocks in a three dimensional environment. The player takes an avatar that can destroy or create blocks, forming fantastic structures, creations and artwork across the various multiplayer servers in multiple game modes.o We plan on using this game to guide students through various challenges and thought puzzles with an ever-evolving storyline to test their creativity and problem solving skills in a social environment.
What we are planning to do is make a main city or quest hub for the main adventure to branch off of and unlock different puzzles etc. We were thinking a castle theme like stormwind (from World of WarCraft) but feel free to pitch more ideas. Please keep in mind that we do provide a server to build on.

Minecraft could be used for educational purposes for forestry and wildlife courses as well as.... well..
you could hire some guy to just teach it to them through the chat bar..... idk if anyone has any ideas on what it could be used for in schools reply to this comment
