We are building Rama. Rama is the spaceship from the book by Arthur C Clarke. It is a cylinder world with an interior environment consisting of cities and an icy circular ocean.
Included here is a sample Schematic and World Save for the prototype cylinder world in Minecraft.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
This is a collaborative project, and you are most welcome to get involved. Drop a note on the comments below if you are a creative type who would like to see this happen.
The way it will be built is in sections laid out flat which will then be rolled into cylinders through the use of an MCEdit filter, and joined together.
The build will proceed in separate work streams. The high level individual components of the build are:
There are a number of online sources for inspiration and reference. Here is a schematic from an earlier adventure game based within Rama.
The method of collaboration will be to exchange schematics, with participants checking out and back in each component via this project page.

- Lowlands with 'cities'
