The project got pickup again, and we are now at full power with the development of the server Relief Realms.

This submission is for the current progress of the map being created for the server, using world painter. It's being rebuild from the ground up using a new and improve layout.

Azure Island is complete!
Yay!

The island was completed on May 15 and we are now in the early development of in game content. For up to date post follow our website!


Update Package #01:

Date: May 15, 2020 @ 10:45 am



Developer Notes: Update #01 brings the first island to the server ready for in game development and hand terraforming. Renders have been uploaded to the development album. Development was longer than expected but this ensures we can deliver a more explorable and immersive gameplay. Main Island scale is 3x the original size of Azure island, estimate development time for main island is about 1-2 months. Rivers are annoying & super hard to make; we might scrap all future river development…



  • Azure Island development completed.
  • Different cave layers; ground caves, mountain caves, aggressive lava caves, deep underground caves, underwater caves, and ocean caves. Caves layout and resources will be change in the next update package.
  • Island consist of 4 different forest each with different trees, floor coverings, and biomes
  • Frost layer on all mountains has been removed and only 3 mountain peaks will contain snow.
  • River system completed, nothing too special about this.
  • Added wheat farm and carrot farm.
  • Ocean Floor re hauled and now follows 30 Blocks as the default sea floor to allow ocean floor caves without cutting into the ocean surface.
  • Coral reefs added to map thanks to Scheballs from planetminecraft for his coral reef pack schematics. *Usage rights pending. (https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/coral-reef-pack-15-different-overgrown-coral-reef-formations-minecraft-1-14/#tab_image_gallery)
  • Ocean Package pre development started, will include underwater holds, submerged abandon cities (Small Scale), ocean cave rehaul, elaborate coral reefs designs, sinked boats, underwater canyons. (Ocean package subjects to change)
  • Pre development of Relinquished hold schematic ported to Azure map.
  • Removed sea cucumbers, they weird and need to see how to implement them without making the ocean bright as the sun.
  • Updated tree schematics for map and 1.15 update
  • Uploaded to game server for plugin development
  • Map lore layout completed. (Uh?) *Means that the map now as name sections and zones.
  • Dungeon development started
