The local town provided plenty of material for the rise of a new army.
Drawing upon forces left remnant in the world, the necromancer doesn't just command their new army.

THEY CONTROL THEM.

Quickly the desert is corrupted by malignant power that destroys and wilts all the local wildlife, plant or beast.
Even the land splits in ghastly wounds showing the corruption bubbling from deep within the earth, as if rising from the nether itself!
The skulls posted beside the thrones are not simple replicas either, though there isn't enough energy yet to move such great beasts.
Hopefully it stays that way...
