Lore (Empire of Lanier AU)
As the Royal Navy advanced further into the territories of Janportus and the Silver Empire, a new technology threatened to turn the tides of warfare. Agile, quick, and deadly, the Janportus torpedo wielding airskiffs were capable of taking down some of the Royal Navy's largest strongest warships. With ships like the Victory-Class and the Behemoth lacking in any potent air defense armament, they were forced to withdraw from battlefields with the arrival of these new airskiffs. With the fleet's heaviest combatants forced out of the fight, the Royal Navy needed a new heavily armed warship design.
The Venerable-Class Cruisers were introduced as a cheaper to produce warship capable of performing similar roles to the Victory-Class Battleships while possessing anti-aircraft armament to combat the new fighter threat. Primarily a broadside fighting warship, it possesses three cannons on one side with air defense armament on the other. The ships also possessed room for four aircraft for spotting and support purposes. These aircraft however were older designs and usually were unable to stand up against those of Janportus and the Silver Empire.
Initially, the warships were used to great effect against the new fighter threat and were easily able to fulfill the gap left with the withdrawal of the Victory-Class battleships. This changed as tactics developed to attack along the cannon ports where the anti-aircraft armament was minimal and the larger artillery pieces were too sluggish to effectively engage fighter aircraft. Despite this drawback, proper fleet formation tactics allowed other warships to effectively cover this AA blindspot.

Overview
The ship is somewhat of a mini version of the Royal Navy's Victory-Class Battleships designed by BaccaYarro. Significantly smaller and possessing a lot less firepower.
Movecraft Compatibility
All weapons on the ship function without the Movecraft plugin as they're Redstone-based. However, if you wish to rotate the turrets and move the ship around, you need the Movecraft plugin.

The Venerable was the only ship of its class and was produced as a warship to secure Centrum's role as the dominant fleet in the skies. Armed with three cannons and air defense armament, it was capable of easily defeating any warship in the sky at the time of its creation.
During its service, it would go on to conduct several bombardments of settlements and claim the status of being one of the only warships having shot down another warship in the defense of Centrum. These events had primarily occurred in the border conflict between Centrum and Qtipia in which Qtipia had stolen several merchant airships. A smuggling warship was detected approaching Centrum airspace and the Venerable was quickly dispatched to its position. Upon detecting the Venerable's approach, the warship quickly turned to retreat. Several salvos fired at the ship as it withdrew caused it to sink over the river dividing the two nations.
Venerable's place as being the strongest warship in the sky would be eventually surpassed by the newer battleships produced at Seika Hill's shipyards.
