For the Buccaneer Bay Build Contest!

Hey everyone! This is my submission for the Buccaneer Bay Build Contest. At the end of the day this was a Best Friends project I did with my best friend NalaeWyndove!

We decided to do a Sea of Thieves themed Pirate Outpost since we had been playing a lot of Sea of Thieves lately (pretty much daily) with a group of friends. So a lot of what you see in this build is heavily inspired by Sea of Thieves. We even built our standard Brigantine named The Unforeseen Shenanigans at the outpost dock.

I've also got to give a big shoutout to our good friend Dooku200 who helped us build all the ships in the map (aside from the biggest one which was done ourselves). This includes the faithful replica of our beloved Unforeseen Shenanigans!

Nice creation - I like it and I can see a lot of love here. Like at all contests this is one of this works that should get more attention in my eyes but your creation looks like built by hand and there are no extra programms used for shading, picture effects or creating the building itself. In my eyes this is good and the way it should be done (and the way I did) but sadly most people do not honour that :(

But I do so I am happy I can give you a diamond for this :)

PS: I can understand you want a black ship but I am not a fan of the blackstone 'bricks'. The bricks do have a brick texture and a ship built with bricks is wird for me. I know you used them primarly for the colour so maybe make a few tries with outher black (or at least dark) blocks - i guess this would look better but this is only a hint.

We did try some other blocks but we were trying to get the color to match the color of our ship in Sea of Thieves and Blackstone was the closest color match at least. Yea the brick texture bothered me too and I thought long and hard about it but from a distance the color matters more than the texture.

Thank you for your kind compliments though! Usually I would include shader shots as is with some of my other work but lately my shaders have been bugging out and crashing my game :(
