My Tree Farm I useually use for all my wood supplies.

* Birch trees are the best for harvesting wood since there easy to cut down due to always having the bottom 2 blocks none leaves
* Place oak and dark wood on a 1 raised dirt block, this makes it easier since less leaves will be in the way.
* Easy for harvesting leaves, you can just run through the field.
* Only 1 block in the air is needed right above the sampling you place. Leave 8 air blocks for the tree.
* Also place torches on the ground so mobs won't spawn.
* For birch trees its best to mark the spots for the samplings.
* For the other trees its on top of the single dirt blocks.

Soon I will be adding a jungle trees section since those have other wood blocks. :)
