This, me friends is my attempt at a Steampunk themed Airship. The main driving force behind this was the fact that this is a contest build with my good friend arov95. So please DO visit his airship and compare as to which is better .

CONTEST OVER - This contest between me an arov95 for best airship, with these themes, which were decided prior to postage, has finished. By rules our projects popularity would've been decided by 48 hours of being posted and the winner was decided by Diamonds. In-case of a tie, the break was decided by the amount of views. Which by THREE VIEWS, I won. Kudos to arov95.

First OFF. This isn't a contemporary airship. I decided to try something different. So upon glancing at the many Steampunk airships already out there, Google is a true friend, I saw that q good few had airbags to hold them up. So I thought to myself, " What if, the airbag was undermounted?". AND this is the result of that train of thought.

- It is about 130 in length

- It includes in total 1 room. There's no doors, but you can say that there are...

-A captain's quarters

-Crew quarters

-Two holds ( or whatever you call the place where they store stuff )

-Two side hallways to host CANNONS ( yes, they work, No, they aren't tnt )

-A Map room

-A Mess room ( where the crew would eat )

-An Engine room ( Complete with a few redstone torches to look flashy )

KEY Build Points

-The fact that the airbag is UNDER-mounted

-The fin rudders ( I liked those a lot, one of my favourable parts to the project )

LORE ( background Story, for FUNZ :D )

The Slon Fil is a decommissioned air vessel, created by the folk down on the waters. They needed a ship which could easily crash into water and still fly true. They needed something to carry lots of cargo, yet still be able to reach other ports, both sky and water, in quick time. The three blades of the ship allow them to crash into the water, without damaging the airbag or the ship itself, at high speed, both as a manoeuvre and general use. The wings allowed them to catch air currents and if needed support in torrential water, as they could be lowered to act as a stabilizer. Their state-of-the-art engine, allowed them to reach their destinations in record time yet, since the new era it has been dominated by the new ion-fusion-reactor turbo thingy-mabob engine. So into the new era, its once widespread use thinned to end in a pitiful graveyard. "The future holds the way", was the departing comment from its creator.

Dissapointing parts

>Firstly, every build MUST have something which isn't liked by the creator, or thing that he / she would've changed. So I'm going to say things first before I cry in a corner<

-The amount of empty space

-Making the hull ( I know that thi is a KEY part, but rly. The amount of times that I had to go back and change things, was Unbelievable. I changed something more or less just before I posted as well -_- )

-Under-mounted airbag ( It was something different, yes, was it hard? YES, shall yuo do it again? Most likely not )
